We're so excited to bring our favorite people together for our wedding. This website has everything you'll need for the weekend. We are so grateful for any and all who will be able to make it.
OUR STORY
We met in the middle of COVID. I was at my favorite bar in San Marcos, the Tap Room, while Shelby happened to be there with some friends after a baby shower. After a few beers, I mustered up the courage to go over and at least say hello to Shelby. In Shelby's normal shyness, she was probably wondering why some random guy was talking to her. However after a few hours and a few drinks, we were having a great time and ended up exchanging numbers. From there, we started texting and calling each other every day. The next weekend, Shelby came back to San Marcos, and I had spent the entire week working Favor to make sure I could afford to take her all over town. From that weekend on, our relationship began to flourish—and the rest is history.
A favorite memory for us both were all the weekends we spent in San Marcos floating the river.
The proposal came from a simple idea: recreate that first weekend in San Marcos while tying in some of the new things we had come to enjoy together—and, of course, including as many of our friends as possible. To make a long story short, our day started at Joe’s Cafe, followed by tubing the San Marcos River, grabbing lunch at North Street Cafe, and playing putt-putt at the Putt Pub. From there, we rushed home for a quick shower before heading to the Express game, where I planned to finally pop the question. What I didn’t plan for was the Express game going into extra innings—or just how loud fireworks are when you’re trying to propose during them. And if you go back and watch the video on my Facebook page, you’ll also notice one other minor detail: I opened the ring box upside down. Despite a few unexpected twists, it ended up being the perfect way to start the next chapter of our story.
